Bio
Rae discovered her love of dancing at a very early age. Ballet was her passion and to it she devoted her life. Years of practice, self discipline and sacrifice brought her much success. As a young adult she ventured to New York where she danced ballet professionally. Later, an interest in jazz found her studying with Luigi, a revolutionary dancer and choreographer. Rae began dancing in Broadway musicals such as Take me Along, Bells Are Ringing, Fanny and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She was incredible and she had the reviews to prove it. Following her heart to California in 1964, Rae taught dance classes and raised her only child. During the early 80s, she attended a water color class on a whim and discovered a new passion. She loved the freedom this medium allowed her, the fluidity of the washes, the interpretive results. Captivated by Chinese brush painting, Rae channeled her own spirit into her work, creating from the peaceful solitude of her heart. Rae's final passion, tai chi sword, brought her a tranquility she had never known and the physical exhilaration she craved. As in dancing, she learned, practiced and excelled. In 1995 Rae achieved the national ranking of number five in the women's tai chi sword at the United States Chinese Martial Arts Competition. Rae's spirit continues on. She truly enjoyed life and all its challenges. She possessed the ability to find beauty everywhere and in turn created beautiful things to share with the world. We will forever love and admire her and all she has left for us.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before
we meet again. And meeting again, after moments
or lifetimes is certain for those who are friends.
